Tbong Khmum(ខេត្តត្បូងឃ្មុំ) is a province in the central plains of Cambodia and far about ~148km away from Phnom Penh capital and borders to the Kampong Cham province, Kratie province, Prey Veng province, and the Vietnamese border.
Tbong Khmum is one of the provinces bordering the Mekong River in the middle of Cambodia, and is one of the most potential tourism destinations in the country, and has a town called Suong.
Tbong Khmum Province is a new province that separates from Kampong Cham province, bordering on the west, Kampong Cham, to the east bordering Vietnam, north to Kratie and to the south of Prey Veng. The province is about 146km from Phnom Penh, from the bus station of Sorya (Tbong Khmum) to Wat Phnom (Phnom Penh), if we travel from Tbong Khmum on National Road 6.
Basically, the province depends on fishing, rice farming, and fruit planting.
For tourism, the province also has tourist sites such as waterfall, resorts, riverside resorts and recreation resorts which are designed to cater to the needs of leisure travels.
