Koh Kong(ខេត្តកោះកុង) is a province in the southwestern of Cambodia and far about ~271km away from Phnom Penh capital and borders to the Pursat province, Kampong Speu province, Kampot province, Preah Sihanouk province, and the Thailand border.

Koh Kong is a coastal province in the southwestern part of Cambodia and is a potential tourism industry area in the country. It has a town called Khemarak Phumin and has a symbol Koh Kong Bridge Roundabout.

Geographically, Koh Kong is bordered to the west and south, to the Gulf of Thailand with (Trang province),to Kampong Speu, Kampot, and Sihanoukville in the east, and to Pursat with Kampong Chhnang in the north. The province is about 290km from Phnom Penh, starting from the bridge of Koh Kong (Koh Kong) to Wat Phnom (Phnom Penh), along National Road 48, connected to National Road 4.

We know that the province has a great potential for tourism industry because of nature, wildlife, ancient places and Cambodia-Thailand international border checkpoints. And the province is a famous place for national and international tourists, because this region has many attracting and interesting places to satisfy the needs of all tourists, whether tourists who enjoy a romantic trip or adventure. Among them are the Areng and Chi Phat eco-tourism zones with the most potential area, due to the hills, waterfalls, artifacts at the site.

As for types of tourism, the province includes: natural and recreational tourism. However, natural tourism is the most popular because the province has beaches, waterfalls and many famous islands for tourists to visit. Besides, for recreational tourism, there are also many new resorts designed to cater to the needs of leisure travels.
