Kampong Speu is a hillous and mountainous province of Cambodia and is one of the largest palm-producing provinces in the country and has many attracting tourism sites comparing to other provinces. The province is located in the western part of Phnom Penh and has a town called Chbar Morn and its symbol Independence Monument.
Kampong Speu Province has its borders to Koh Kong in the west, to the east bordering Kandal Province, to the North to Pursat Province with Kampong Chhnang Province, to the South with Kampot Province and to the southeast to Takeo Province. And the province is about 47km from Phnom Penh, from the Independence Monument (Kampong Speu) to Wat Phnom (Phnom Penh). We can travel from Phnom Penh to Kampong Speu town along National Road 4.
Kampong Speu is not far from Phnom Penh, so it is especially easy for tourists who want to go out in the morning and return in the evening.

Basically, the province depends on rice farming and fruit planting. In the tourism sector, the province has a national park, natural area, especially historical sites, tourists who like to visit and enjoy with a luxury scenery or breathtaking fresh air from those sights on holidays and weekends.
As for types of tourism, the province includes: natural, cultural and recreational tourism. However, natural tourism is the most popular in the area, because this province is rich in national parks, waterfalls and natural scenery which are interesting to everyone. There are also historical sites for tourists to explore. In addition, there are a number of recreational tourism destinations such as resorts on the mountains which all designed to cater to the needs of leisure travels.
The recreational tourism site in the province including – Kirirom National Park, Am Pe Phnom, Phum Domnak Domrey.As for the natural tourism site has – Kirirom National Park, The 9 Step Waterfall, Chreav Waterfall, Chambok Waterfall, Phnom Aoral, Lok Yeay Mao Phnom Pich Nil.
And the cultural tourism site including – Te Teuk Pus, Phnom Aoral.
